Reebok Pump Omni Lite Red Rush [review]
The creator of the legendary Pump sneakers, Paul Litchfield, has been working in the Reebok Advanced Concepts (RAC) for incredible 28 years. He initiated models DMX Moving Air Easytone Zig, RealFlex skyscape and many others. Pump´s history goes back to the late eighties. Fireman was convincing his fty-nintellow Litchfield pretty long time about this concept. Air cushions in sneakers? Something similar had been used by ski shoes, but it looked like some irons. They were joking about it for a while. Then they sat up in front of the desks and started to work hard. In 1989 The Pump by Reebok were born. Their air cushioning system was considered as very clever. However, for a significantly long time, there was no buzz around this ingenious invention. Boom came up after the basketball star Dee Brown scored title-winning dunk during the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
The Pump sneakers are growing on popularity also nowadays. From a recent Reebok collection I introduce you Omni Lite Red Rush. They have a black leather upper with retro gray-white print and black textile details. At the top of the tongue there´s a pump in the form of a basket ball. As I have already mentioned, you can blow your sneakers so that they perfectly fits. Black laces contain a plastic support, which is also a design element. Typical Hexalite midsole ensures a perfect cushioning during walk. Pump Omni Lite maintained at basketball cut. They are extremely comfortable and even after years, their timeless design doesn´t lose its topicality.
